Jessica Swanson

​Preschool Instructor, Storybook Theater

​five years of dance training. Since her recent graduation from Conifer High School, she has begun her studies of elementary education and theater at Metropolitan State University of Denver. The Venue taught her many things and has always been her second home; and she is excited to share that love and knowledge with its current students!​

​Aubry is an alumni of The Venue Theatre and a proud member of the team that built the theater in 2013. She has been performing on the stages of local theaters for over ten years​ and also has

​Jessica has been working on the stage and in the dance studio since she was very young.  She started teaching, directing, and choreographing for theatre in 2010. She has been training in dance for 15 years specializing in tap, jazz, ballet,

​revival of 42nd St. for over two years, also performing in Grease on Broadway, doing a national tour and has also performed in London's West End. Amy is an experienced director and choreographer at both the high school and college levels. We are thrilled to have Amy join our team as we expand our high school company to meet the needs of our students.

 At the age of Diane began studying dance with an esteemed ballet studio in New Jersey where regular instructors included master teachers and members of the New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. Her love of dance led to years of serious ballet training along with jazz, tap and lyrical. Later education consisted of classes at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center in New York City. She has studied and performed under the direction of several ballet and Broadway professionals. 

​Aaron Sanders

Middle School Director, Technical Director

Amy Dolan Fletcher has agreed to join Nelson Conway as a director for the high school program. Amy has just completed a Masters degree of Fine Arts in theater education. She is a veteran of the Broadway stage performing in the 


spring middle school show, Godspell Jr, and is looking forward to working with the middle school students on Singin’ in the Rain.


Diane DeMarco is the owner and studio director of Studio One Dance,in Conifer (formerly All The Right Moves Dance Studio), where she is currently is celebrating 25 years of sharing her knowledge and passion for dance!

​University of Colorado at Boulder. She is a singer/songwriter and actor, having performed off-Broadway with several childrens' theatre companies. In NYC, Carly was a teaching artist with Broadway Bound Kids, just named by Time Out New York Kids, to be one of the best after school programs in the city.  Currently, she runs her "Grow-a-Musical" programs in Denver, offering students the chance to write and perform in their very own, original musical.  She also teaches group voice workshops and private voice lessons at Fireside Arts & Music in Conifer.

career as a Realtor with Keller Williams Foothills Realty in Conifer, along with volunteering as Accompanist at The Venue Theatre. She has accompanied 25 shows for Nelson over the last 10 years. Deb is a cofounder of The Venue and serves on the Board of Directors. 

After spending 23 years in Denmark, where as a Certified Midwife, she delivered 1300 babies, Deb returned to Colorado with her Danish husband. Here she is thoroughly enjoying her doo

Deb Christensen

aerialist, performing on stages across the U.S. and on television. She has directed over 30 community theater productions and founded a performing drama club in a Colorado high school. She loved performing but her heart's delight is in directing children's theater.​ Joni is a cofounder of The Venue and serves on the Board of Directors.

Colorado, Boulder. He studied technical theater with Joseph Psuik, drama and musical theater under Richard Clark, Tom McNally and Jan Sullivan. Nelson started the choral and drama departments of Conifer High School in 1996 and has directed and produced countless shows. Nelson founded The Venue in 2013. 

Nelson retired from a 25-year career teaching music and drama in 2007. He studied music under Dr. George Lynn at Loretto Heights College and Lynn Whitten at the University of
